Roca, reference of quality, innovation, and guarantee of products for the bathroom space

Roca, which started out in 1917, is an international company with almost 100 years of experience in the bathroom sector. The company is a reference of quality, innovation and design in the bathroom industry and is active in over 135 markets. Nowadays it has 76 production plants around the world and it employs more than 20.600 workers.

Is a company specializing in the design, production and marketing of products to fully equip the bathroom space, ceramic floorings and wall coverings used in architecture, construction and interior design.

Roca is completely aware of sustainability and environmental protection, and is constantly working on solutions that guarantee that conditions. Over 40 years ago it began to implement its philosophy of respect for the environment. This thinking is implemented in the development of new technologies applied to devices which minimize the consumption of water and energy and guarantee sustainable products.

Examples of responsibility towards sustainable development include mechanisms such as flow limiters, a device which is integrated in bathroom fittings and that allows for water savings of up to 65%; the innovative Cold Start frontal opening cold water system whose main characteristic is that it always opens from the front and in cold water and that the boiler doesn't trigger, with the energy savings this entails; or the 6/3 litre double flush system which comes as standard in all the toilet collections as well as in the 4.5/3 or 4/2 litre optional installation systems.

In 2005 the Roca Design Centre was redefined, focused on the research into design trends on the basis of a multicultural, multidisciplinary approach, to create products adapted to the people’s habits in the different markets Roca is present. In 2007 the Roca Innovation Lab was created as a branch of the Roca Design Centre. It is organised as an autonomous, multidisciplinary working group focusing on the activities of research and innovation, which makes it possible to design and develop new products and concepts independently of the Design Centre’s everyday activities. This laboratory promotes a global, international vision of products, recognizing people’s changing behaviors, requirements and tastes. It is positioned as a centre of international reference in the field of research and innovation.

The company is constantly growing and is committed to the principles of innovation, design, sustainability and well-being. The all range of new products and every of the initiatives it is undertaken are based in that.

Its products currently shape experiences and lifestyles worldwide by bringing cultures together. Every day, it strives to seek and create trends in the bathroom space and bring unique solutions to a space that is constantly evolving. Roca is also a benchmark in progress, soundness and excellence. It therefore assumes its responsibility regarding sustainable development and continuous training.
